A Family Affair- my new project

Like I need a new project I have agreed to help Connie Haygood with a new fundraiser she is working on for Le Bonheur. I will be working with 4 families (hopefully creating some amazing images) that will encourage their extended families and friend to make donations to Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. Here are some of the images that we shot Thursday night. If you can look at the faces of these children and not want to make a donation, something is wrong with you. If you would like to donate in any of the children's names go to www.Lebonheur.org and then go to A Family Affair. There you will see the children and read about their stories. Their families have commited to raise 1000's of dollars to benefit the hospital that has been such an important part of their family over the past few years.

In conjuntion with this benefit I will hosting a Benefit Bunny Session. During the week of March 19(which is most everyone's Spring Break) we will be doing Live Bunny Portraits. The $20 session fee will go to benefit these families efforts. Tell me which child's efforts you want your $20 to go to, and help all the children at Le Bonheur.

Oh my, what an amazing week. I love photographing beautiful children. Just finished a session with Aaron and his new baby brother. Take a look at these blue eyes. And on top of that last night, Orie and her friends came in and did a covergirl birthday party(including the limo). I will post a few of the images from there session later on tonight.

Fun classes coming up at ICC. I am teaching my usual classes at ICC this semester. Basic and Advanced Photography. We always have a good time, but this time we have added a couple of classes to the list. Face Shots and How to Shoot Your best friends Wedding. Both should be fun - but I have a big surprise planned for that wedding class group. You won't find out until that morning in class but I think you will be really excited ... See you there

The Bunnies are Coming

Bunnies, Bunnies, Bunnies.... Here come the bunnies. March 19-April 4 Our annual live bunny sessions and Jewel the bunny will be making her annual appearance. Don't miss it- we have several new vintage backdrops that I think you will just love. This is one of them. This is Erica and Enoch Griffin's (from Bruce) daughter, Eva. Erica owns Bell Ame. How cute is she. This is just a sample of our new vintage backdrops for Easter. Very Retro-don't you think???? No bunnies yet to photograph I am waiting to the last minute to bring them in so they don't get too tired. Me and the STF gang are all so excited about the bunnies coming(joking) but the photos will be adorable.

Looks like 2009 is going to be the year for weddings. With 19 weddings on the books for the year, we are going to be very busy. I had two great engagement sessions and a bridal session this week.
Te couples were all so much fun. Katie tells me that she and Ashley are having a vintage pink Cadillac for their departure. I can't wait to photograph that in downtown New Albany.
Then I am also looking forward to Dusty & Greer in Oxford. They were a blast at their engagement session and that should make for a fun day in June. Greg & Kelly also came this week. And I am so excited about all these session. The images turned out great
I hope they all love them as much as I did. I love this new old barn that I have found near the studio. I had a blast guys see you all at the weddingS!!!!!!

Welcome to my new blog. I will be updating upcoming events and talking about my sessions and even about my upcoming weddings. Keep checking back to see what is going on at STF Studio
